Summer S.O.L. (Spotlight On Leadership) is a series of workshops led by members of the Union Capital Boston community. These workshops are designed with a connection to leadership and are built around giving members a hands-on experience. Each workshop requires a separate registration and space is limited. Sessions are for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

In this creative and reflective workshop, participants will explore the “masks” they wear in different spaces and relationships — uncovering how these identities can both support and limit personal growth over time. Through guided activities and conversation, this experience invites participants to reflect on resilience, self-awareness, and the evolving ways we lead ourselves and others.

Healing, Storytelling & Leadership is a creative, healing-centered workshop where participants use storytelling, reflection, and beginner-friendly sewing to create a personalized pillowcase honoring a meaningful memory, person, or life experience. Through guided conversation, affirmation writing, and hands-on creativity, participants will explore themes of healing, resilience, identity, and leadership in a supportive community space. No sewing experience is needed — just a willingness to reflect, connect, and create.

Step into your confidence and unleash your inner star at Alter Your Ego — a playful, hands-on workshop designed to help you feel more comfortable, confident, and bold in front of the camera. Through fun partner activities, simple phone photography tips, posing practice, and confidence-building exercises, participants will explore body language, presence, and self-expression using the camera they already carry every day. Whether you love taking photos or usually avoid the spotlight, this workshop is all about loosening up, connecting with others, and tapping into your alter ego energy in a supportive and uplifting space.

Come plant, decorate, and grow during this uplifting hands-on wellness and leadership experience designed to bring people together through healing, creativity, and community connection. Guests will explore herbs like mint, lemon balm, rosemary, and holy basil (Tulsi), repot herbs to take home, and decorate their own flower pots while reflecting on personal growth, resilience, and the importance of caring for ourselves and our communities.
Just like plants, people need the right environment, nourishment, support, and care to truly thrive. This interactive workshop encourages participants to embrace healing, leadership, and community stewardship while creating meaningful connections in a cozy and inspiring environment. Guests will also enjoy a community tea station with herbal teas and light refreshments, along with samples of her signature mushroom milk tea to take home as part of the experience.
