Your Story Has the Power to Inspire Change

Our stories reveal who we are, what we value, and why we choose to lead. Learning to share those stories can help us connect with others, communicate what matters to us, and inspire people to take action.

UC Learns helps Union Capital members develop their leadership through the public narrative model. Participants learn to share their experiences in ways that connect their personal values to a shared purpose and motivate others to create change in their communities.

Whether you are beginning to see yourself as a leader or looking to strengthen your voice, UC Learns offers space to reflect on your journey, practice telling your story, and build confidence in your ability to lead.

UC Learns is offered in English and Spanish. English-language classes are offered twice a year, and the Spanish-language class, UC Aprende, is offered once a year.

  • Clarity and focus: A well-crafted public narrative requires you to distill complex ideas into clear, focused messages. This strengthens your communication skills, helping you convey key points succinctly.

  • Persuasion and influence: Through narrative, you learn how to persuade by framing challenges, values, and solutions in a way that resonates with your audience. This skill is critical for rallying people around a cause or vision.
